Peterson Machinery Co., the Caterpillar dealer for Oregon and southern Washington and the Challenger dealer for Northern California, is pleased to announce that Paul Grove has been promoted to Store Manager for their Willows location, which is now designated as the company’s California Ag headquarters. Grove joined Peterson CAT in 2005 as the Product Support Sales Manager at the company’s Eugene store, and was recently promoted to Service Manager at their Springfield location.

Grove’s roots are in California; he attended school in Marysville and then spent 22 years working in Pleasant Grove at the Caterpillar dealer in that territory. He began his career as a night watchman/janitor and worked his way through the ranks to become a partsman, Product Support Sales Representative, and eventually Product Support Sales Manager. Grove has twice received national-level recognition from Caterpillar as part of their Masters’ Competition, and recently completed Flagship, Cat’s intensive management training program. He looks forward to putting his considerable knowledge of the industry to use by helping Peterson CAT ’s customers buy and rent Challenger, Lexion, and other brands of agriculture equipment.

Grove is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys hunting and fishing. He looks forward to joining the local farm bureaus and getting involved in the community. “I’m returning to my roots,” Grove said. “I missed California.”
