Access
- Question: How soon will I have access to the Web Applications I requested?
- Answer: Under normal circumstances access is granted within 24-Hours from the time you submit your request.
PartStore Eligibility
- Question: Who is eligible, and what are the requirements for receiving access to Peterson's On-line PartStore?
- Answer: At this time only current customers possessing an account with Peterson are eligible in receiving access to PartStore and other Web applications.
Registration
- Question: How do I Register with Peterson's Dealer StoreFront?
- Answer: Simply click the "Join" Button on the right navigation area of the webpage, accept a "Privacy Policy" and fill out some basic "Personal Information" and "Submit" it.
Web Applications
- Question: How do I request the different Web Application (i.e PartStore, S.O.S, etc) that Peterson Tractor Offers On-Line?
- Answer: After Joining/Registering PTCo StoreFront you need to navigate to the left area of the Webpage and Click on "My Applications", you will then see a page listing the various on-line apps that we offer, simply check the box of those you are interested in and "Submit" the request.

- Question: Why does it appear that I am still logged in after I have logged off the system?
- Answer: Browser caching in this system requires that you hit the refresh button after logging off to display the user login and confirm you have been logged out.

- Question: The system won't allow me access with my current password?

Content
Dynamic Content and Personalization
- Question: Why is the content that I see on a particular page different from the content displayed on the same page on someone else's workstation?
- Answer: One of the features of DSF2.0 is that user registration affects content display. Content is Personalized based on Industry and Job Function.
Language
Content Language/Availability
- Question: Why isn't all content available in every language?
- Answer: Content is not translated on-the-fly. It must be translated and stored in the database in multiple languages which will be displayed based on the user's registration preference.
Content language differences
- Question: Why is content displayed in several different languages on my page?
- Answer: Relevant content is displayed in the user's preferred language as selected during registration. If the content item is not available in preferred language, it can be displayed in English if that option is selected during selected during registration.
Language Options
- Question: Why do I have English, German and Spanish options?
- Answer: Internationalization features in DSF2.0 allow content to be displayed in multiple languages. Your choice of language determines what language content is displayed in.
UTF-8
- Question: What is UTF-8 and why is it important?
- Answer: UTF-8 (Unicode) is the character set supported by DSF 2.0. Most non-English browsers support UTF-8 as a default. UTF-8 is set as the default in the server and should have no impact to end users.
- Question: Why do I see strange characters on my webpage?
- Answer: You may have changed the browser default from UTF-8 to another setting.

- Question: I have accounts on several different dealer sites - why do I see different content on the same page even though I am registered the same way at each site?
- Answer: Dealers individually manage content for their Storefront. Dealer content is displayed before CAT Corporate content. Dealers can also have specific content excluded from their site.
