Rebuild Capabilities

The heavy equipment industry can be hard and fast-paced. Rugged worksites take their toll on components and new technology can make older machines obsolete. We offer multiple rebuild options to maintain uptime while reducing the cost of ownership and production.

Cat Certified Rebuild (CCR)

With a Cat Certified Rebuild, your machine gets a second life at a fraction of the cost of buying new. During the rebuild process, over 350 tests are administered on a machine, critical engineering updates are implemented, and approximately 7,000 parts are automatically replaced. At the end of the rebuild, you get a like-new machine with a warranty.

Field Service

Service When You Need It

Peterson offers extensive 24hr on call field service to all of its customers. An entire fleet of heavy duty service trucks and lube trucks are waiting to respond to your every service need. Customer Support Agreements

A Customer Support Agreement (CSA) is a tailored contract that helps you lower your cost per unit of production. Agreements are customized to fit your business needs and can range from simple Preventive Maintenance Kits to sophisticated Total Cost Performance Guarantees. No matter which option you choose, you can be assured that Peterson will provide you with careful planning and ongoing attention that will help you succeed.

When you have a CSA with Peterson, you have more time to do what you do best – run your business. Highly trained technicians assist you by maintaining your equipment and driving down operating costs. In the end, everyone's goal is the same: helping you gets more work done at a lower cost.

Perhaps the most important feature of any CSA is flexibility. There are no pre-set requirements or specific products and services that you must agree to buy. In every case and with every piece of equipment, a CSA is an individualized plan. Depending on your needs, your costs can be a flat rate, monthly fee or some other arrangement based on actual production hours. Your agreement may include as few or as many pieces of equipment as you wish. You can cover individual systems, single pieces of equipment, or entire fleets. We will work with you to determine the best strategies to maximize productivity and minimize costs for both your CAT and non-CAT equipment.

Customer Support Agreements are not just for large pieces of equipment, and they are not just for new equipment either. The need to get more work done at a lower cost is the same, regardless of age or application.

SOS Fluid Analysis

Protect Your Investment

Peterson’s Fluid Analysis Lab in Eugene, Oregon specializes in analyzing fluids from your equipment fleet and examining those fluids for common signs of component failure. For example, the occurrence of fine metal particles in hydraulic oil often indicates the breakdown of a hydraulic pump or another major component.  If these particles are detected early enough, service technicians can replace the pump and oil and prevent further damage to the entire hydraulic system.

Fluid Analysis does far more than discover component failures, though. It’s also the best way to gauge when to replace the fluids in your machine. Broken down oil, or oil containing contaminants such as water, could lead to overheating and excessive wear of important machine components, damage that can be prevented by keeping tabs on the condition of your fluids through our analysis.

We are going beyond your service call to inspect your machine and identify problems before they cause downtime.

How Does it Work?
Our Technician performs the Valu-Gard inspection by looking at the critical health points of your machine and documenting his findings on the Valu-Gard app. Once he hits the ‘complete’ button, the report is immediately sent to our team of Valu-Gard reps, who will contact you and inform you of what we found.

We can quickly put together a quote and, if you would like, perform the service in the shop or in the field to prevent the identified problem from turning into a repair that could leave you down on the job site.

Valu-Gard inspections are built to save you money and keep you working by addressing your repairs faster than ever before, proactively managing your equipment, reducing downtime, and lowering your operating costs—all at no additional cost to you!
