The heavy equipment industry can be hard and fast-paced. Rugged worksites take their toll on components and new technology can make older machines obsolete. We offer multiple rebuild options to maintain uptime while reducing the cost of ownership and production.
With a Cat Certified Rebuild, your machine gets a second life at a fraction of the cost of buying new. During the rebuild process, over 350 tests are administered on a machine, critical engineering updates are implemented, and approximately 7,000 parts are automatically replaced. At the end of the rebuild, you get a like-new machine with a warranty.
The Cat Certified Rebuild process includes:
Recover all the performance and productivity of your original machine—and capture the benefits of the latest engineering updates, too.
Power Train Rebuild
A rebuilt powertrain can restore performance, increase machine availability and greatly improve its productive service life.
When the rest of your machine is running strong, restore like-new performance to your hydraulic systems.
When you invest in Cat, you’re investing in durability and performance. Rebuild your engine to maximize that investment.
Machine Component Rebuild
Restore your engine, transmission, torque converter, axle assemblies or final drives to like-new performance
Save big on cost — and reduce downtime — by choosing to repair your Cat dozers, loaders, and excavators. Peterson product support representatives can explain the options available to you including minor overhauls, major overhauls, complete rebuilds, replacement with Cat remanufactured and more.
Peterson’s Fluid Analysis Lab in Eugene, Oregon specializes in analyzing fluids from your equipment fleet and examining those fluids for common signs of component failure. For example, the occurrence of fine metal particles in hydraulic oil often indicates the breakdown of a hydraulic pump or another major component. If these particles are detected early enough, service technicians can replace the pump and oil and prevent further damage to the entire hydraulic system.
Fluid Analysis does far more than discover component failures, though. It’s also the best way to gauge when to replace the fluids in your machine. Broken down oil, or oil containing contaminants such as water, could lead to overheating and excessive wear of important machine components, damage that can be prevented by keeping tabs on the condition of your fluids through our analysis.
Peterson is committed to your machine’s long-term reliability, and fluid analysis is just one of the ways our highly trained staff uses technology to deliver you a quality service experience.
