Tough Machines for Rugged Jobsites

Whether you’re breaking concrete on a derelict overpass or demolishing an industrial complex, you can depend on Cat demolition equipment to withstand the abuses of your environment and deliver safety, performance, and reliability all day, every day.

For large demolition projects such as building or bridge demolitions, Cat offers a selection of large excavators (models 336 to 390) designed to work seamlessly with Cat worktools like large hydraulic hammers, multiprocessors, pulverizers, and shears. Cat also offers several excavator models (and shovels, like the 6015B) in frontless configurations for development into specialized demolition tools for extreme high-reach work.

For medium demolition projects—home demolitions for example—Cat medium excavators, including the growing line of zero-tailswing machines, deliver the power and performance you need to remove wooden or brick structures, while requiring less space to operate and fewer resources to transport them between sites. Cat thumbs, grapples, hydraulic hammers, and buckets are designed to work with these machines as well, giving you added versatility in whatever situation you’re working.

And for the smallest interior demolition projects, Cat offers the H25 hydraulic hammer, an attachment small enough to fit Cat’s smallest excavator, the 300.9D. Combined with the 300.9’s optional VPS system, which allows the machine to operate on electricity, the excavator and attachments can be run completely emission-free, allowing you to work indoors without concerns about pollution or extra ventilation.

And when recycled materials from demo sites get delivered to your scrap recycling center, many of these same machines and others like Cat material handlers, wheel loaders, and skid steers loaders help you dismantle, sort, and process these resources for use in future projects! From site prep to final demolition to scrap recycling, Peterson can deliver a complete package of scrap and recycling solutions for your business: we’re ready to work for you today!

Cat Secondary Pulverizers

Cat Secondary Pulverizers are designed for concrete size reduction and rebar removal for concrete recycling plants and secondary demolition applications.

Benefits:

  • Housing design and angle eliminates support equipment and increases production by using a ridge of material to quickly load into the jaw, while separating out materials that don’t need to be crushed.
  • Speed valve technology offers fast cycle times.
  • Higher crushing capabilities than mechanical pulverizers
  • Rebar cutters are four sided and replaceable to keep you working longer.
  • The lower-jaw pickup teeth quickly rack through the concrete to expose the large pieces that need to be crushed and rebar that needs to be removed eliminating the overcrushing of small pieces
  • Access panels in housing for easy access to hydraulic lines and fittings for better uptime

When comparing the total package price of machines with attachments, choosing one with crushing capability can reduce the size of machine needed. This saves on fuel and reduces your owning and operating costs.
